I’m not sure what to do about this issue but here it goes:
I ordered this and it came in a brown box with the red Milwaukee box inside. The problem is that there was an Amazon Renewed pamphlet inside the brown box with the packing slip Not an Amazon packing slip. The red box was pretty dinged up for being a new item put into an outer box. I reached out to CS and tried explaining that my concern was that the listing was for a NEW item with a 5 year warranty but if it is in fact a refurbished item how does that effect the warranty? I was given a code for $10 off and was asked to provide pictures, which I did, and I haven’t heard anything since. That was three days ago.

I just love being ignored by both Woot CS and Staff! I just want an answer. if it’s as shady as I suspect and there never was a 5 year warranty because like Amazon, Woot isn’t an authorized Milwaukee retailer and therefore Milwaukee will not honor the manufacturer warranty, the “Renewed” issue is moot. Is that what the silence is saying?

Not ignoring you. I’ve asked CS but I don’t usually hear back from them until late afternoon.

If I post that I’m asking or looking into something, then people have gotten nasty with me when I don’t respond. I find it better to just ask and respond when I get the answer.

In general (not necessarily on Woot), people except immediate answers.

When they’re asked to wait, they often ask very quickly if there’s an update.

I waited three days before I posted anything. Then I waited 4hrs and after seeing staff commenting on other things I felt like I was being ignored.

MANY MANY MANY times in my early days as a moderator. They would blame me for not coming back with an answer right away when I had no answer to give them and then accuse me of lying, use foul language, etc. It became easier to work behind the scenes and post when there was an answer.

Thank you for your help. They gave a partial refund and the option to return. The issue about the warranty was lost in all of it so I’ll just leave it be. I’ve got some blades coming today so I’ll be able to test it at least.

I was wondering if a post should be started about UPS shipping, or rather not shipping, before the strike? I’ve got things ordered from here, Amazon, and Costco that are just sitting for no good reason other than leverage(?) i.e. A taste of things to come.

UPS strikes–that’s gonna hurt me.

All this shift to the gig economy and part time work is troubling to folks looking for a job.
