This shirt is not appropriate especially considering how one of the people who perished this week in the Titanic submersible was only 19 years old.
Hello. I understand your concern but this shirt was posted for sale before that news was available and designed way before this week.
I get that. Perhaps Woot could reconsider its policy for the future. Thank you for responding.
Scooby-Doo has nothing to do with that. Absolutely nothing.
I understand it was designed way before. However, it is ghoulish to keep it available for sale on the site at this time.
It would be in good taste to remove it for sale for at least 6-8 weeks.
Woot! sells things that bring fun, utility, bragging rights, etc.
I log on daily just to see what’s been added. Having this item staring me in the face just swamped me with sadness.
Now I’m awash in pathos for those souls that were lost; how they must have felt knowing every moment that passed was one of the last moments they would be alive.
Their poor families.
Now Woot shouldn’t sell anything water-related for months after a freak accident in an experimental un-certified sub that was below it’s safe depths?
Guess you’ve never seen Woot’s shirt catalog. There’s a couple thousand designs on sale right now.
None of these designs have anything to do with the tragedy that just occurred. It’s sad that you’re trying to make it seem so in order to get attention for yourself.
Good taste would be to create a topic in Everything but Woot to freely discuss the event.
Bad taste is trying to “cancel” items that are vaguely related to underwater. Better call up the Wal-Mart and see if they’ll stop selling fish sticks.
Show some respect. The event that occurred was a tragic accident. Not a reason to create a fuss about a Scooby Doo tshirt.
