Monster - overpriced even with a 67% discount!
These headphones are a great deal for the 100.00 and under price. I am an audiophile and was skeptical, but wanted a pair for my son. I was blown away by the sound and I know they can’t be beat by phones up to 200.00. For those who said the bass was murky, they don’t know how to use the equalizer settings on their output device, iPod, Cell phone, PC, Stereo system ect. I bought 2 pairs 3 months ago at a price that was 10.00 higher.

Can you listen to radio on these? I am having a hard time finding reasonably priced on ear headphones that can get AM and FM. Any ideas out there?

That’s a true statement in just about every monster market. I used to work for a certain electronics store that gave really good employee discounts (they have since nerfed the discount I hear). $120 retail monster HDMI cable, I could pick up for $16 and some change. They didn’t carry these at the time, but I assume the markup is relative.

Only if you hook them up to your bridgework.
I saw the name of this product and hoped Woot! Would pick up on Macklemore’s Thrift Shop lyrics:
“I wear your granddad’s phones. They sound NCredible…”

Fifty bucks is top dollar for these. You’re getting cheap uncomfortable rap style headphones. Great for looking like a 14 year old who saved up his allowance. If you can afford anything better, pass. And who the hell is Nick Cannon anyway?
PS - Just looked at the sales map. Popular in California and New Jersey. That says it all right there.

I laughed hard. More than once. This Hoosier appreciates your humor. I picked up a pair of Sennheiser HD439s for 49.99 at the local Best Buy and haven’t looked back…

I don’t care what any of you guys say
monoprice 8323 for $23.99 can’t loose. I’m no headphone Audiophile but these simply can’t be beat. I have compared them with Beats Solo and prefer them along with a few other people I showed them to.
Anyone able to find frequency response specs for these? Checked Monster’s site, Amazon, etc.

I have the M50’s too, but that coil is so bulky I can only use it at home. The Sony DR-ZX701IP that Woot had a couple weeks ago are suprisingly good and work well with Ipad or Sansa MP3 players. The Gemini sets they have on occasion are decent toto. All decent midfi phones. I’d love to see them do some higher end HP’s
My M50s have been modded with a removable cable, so I can use which ever cable I choose, and don’t have to worry about it getting yanked out.

Save your money and get a nice pair of quality cans, Maybe check out Audio-Technica. (I love my M50s, There a bit out of this price range. Just throwing out what I wear)

I bought a pair of Audio-Technica M30’s. They’re only 50 bucks, and worth it. I’d love a pair of M50’s, but the M30’s are plenty good enough until I get the cash.
Little miffed that I can’t find any technical specs (frequency response, THD, etc…) anywhere on the `net. Kinda follows along the standard “Monster” selling practices.
Whenever I see somebody with a pair of Beats on all I can think of is how that person’s purchasing patterns are easily manipulated by marketing.
The description is wrong about 4’33". If you can’t hear the subtle incidental background sounds there’s no point in playing it.

Is Band & Olufson a Chinese knockoff of Bang & Olufsen?

D’oh! I suppose that’s what happens when you type late at night!
These could be the best headphones in the world and I still wouldn’t buy them. Just can’t bring myself to patronize a company that built itself on exorbitantly overpriced products sold through a campaign of misinformation. Monster is the snake oil salesman of the electronics world.
Today, like every day, all over the country hundreds of salespeople at big box electronics chains will try to convince trusting little old folks and the otherwise electronically illiterate that it’s worth it to spend $100 on a Monster Brand Super-Duper Ultimate Extra-High Speed Platinum-Plated 6’ HDMI cable rather than the $5 generic one that does exactly the same thing. And before HDMI they did the same thing with speaker cable, going so far as to rig deceptive displays demonstrating how much better the Monster (14ga) cables sound than the (100’ long 20ga) generic cables.
You know they’re quality when nowhere on their product page or on woot do they actually list their frequency response. It could be 200Hz-3000Hz for all we know. They don’t list in in their giant 156 page manual - which is nothing more than a multilingual warranty statement.
Save your money and get a some Beyerdynamic or Sennheiser headphones. Honestly, any decent headphone should list it’s impedance and frequency response, otherwise you’re probably just buying garbage.

Email support@woot.com. They’ll cancel the order if they can stop it before it’s off to processing. Note that orders are released every couple hours though.
