(NEW) Apple Watch Series 7 Smart Watch [GPS + Cellular 45mm]

I would not recommend anyone purchase this device. Although it’s in the new condition stated in the listing, the watch is DOA. Went to apple store to see if they could fix it, and they said since purchase date was in 2021, it was out of warranty and i’d need to spend $300+ for a replacement.

Overall, not worth the deal. Purchased the S8SS and having the same issue with a dead battery. Requested a return and hoping to see if they’ll charge me a restocking fee.

Long time wooter, first time commenter. Looked excellent and was definitely new, but was dead on arrival. Will not power on. The internet seems to suggest the issue is not repairable without sending it in for service. I have sent a message to customer support and will report back on how it turns out. Was super disappointed that it would not power on!

Did you give it a full overnight charge?

Mine was also received dead. Of course I left it on charge overnight….Apple told me warranty expired on this thing 2 years ago. Additionally they told me that even with warranty they would only replace with a refurbished Watch and they reminded me that I purchased a new watch and likely wouldn’t want refurbished anyway, as refurbished sells at a much lower price

You think they would charge you a restocking fee on a defective device?.wow….new Wooter here and that comment has me thinking….

It’s unlikely. Returns are typically free unless they feel you’re abusing the system.

Thanks. I feel sure receiving a defective product and then wanting fair remedy is not abusing the system

I ordered series 7 and 8. Both didn’t work even after 1 day charging. Looks like watch is already dead.

Really odd that all these “new” watches are DOA. Much older, used, refurbished, scratch and dent models still work just fine. How is it that new watches don’t even power on AND Apple says the warranties are expired because they were purchased two years ago? If it’s been purchased, how can it be considered “new”? Something hinky here…

Steer clear at all costs! I received two of these (first was dead battery out of the box and would not charge). Contacted customer service and rma’d it. Received a second one on exact same condition.

I ultimately decided that I will spend the $99 to have a new battery put in my titanium Apple Watch Series 6 instead of spending more money on a new watch that doesn’t work…twice!

Besides, these stainless steel watches have a shiny case which picks up every last print from you touching it. The titanium ones as well as the aluminum ones both have a matte finish that does not pick up every little touch.

Also DOA, used original cable and charger, still no boot
Only apple logo for a second. Sad waste of time

Update,

Charged all night, still dead
Contacted support
They offered: replacement, return/refund or $70 refund and keep the unworking item :joy::joy::joy:

Same thing happened to me. I got a series 4 that wouldn’t update because it couldn’t connect to the internet and consequently could not be paired or used.

I was offered a return and refund or a partial refund of $13. Why would I want a partial refund for a watch that is not functional?

It’s a standard offer by customer service. Some people are willing to fix or get something fixed.

I think this is the thread referred to in the thread about a new S8 SS offering for $329. I wonder if what’s being experienced is two to three years of an unused lithium battery resulting in an unusable battery. As to an Apple rep saying one was sold in 2021 and thus has no Apple warranty despite being sold as “new” I found that many initial reps think that. But the written warranty does cover the first end user purchaser from an authorized seller without reference to when. The key is first and authorized seller. The reps have a record on each watch serial number to determine if previously “sold” . Some Tier reps have more data it seems.

Is this apple care+ eligible?

Ordered a Series 7 (New) and just received my shipment today. The Apple packaging has its seals intact, but the end of the box had been severed to open the box by flipping it up. No watch inside! Just the charging cable and the strap in the separate box. Still waiting to hear back from Customer Service. It sucks that you can only email and not call. In this case, NEW meant TAMPERED and STOLEN.
