I modified a cranberry smoothie recipe. It has an apple, 2 bananas, 1 cup of cranberries, 1/3 cup yogurt, tablespoon of maple syrup, and 1/4 cup of orange juice. Run it through the blender, and pour it into 2 pints. If you want to skip the bananas, add sugar or more maple syrup.

That sounds yummy!
Was it fresh/frozen cranberries, or dried (like crasins)?

Fresh cranberries.

Same cranberry smoothie, but I added a dash of cinnamon, and a few aronia berries for a deeper pink.

I had to look that one up - never heard of aronia berries before!

Wonderful! I sometimes struggle with what else to do with fresh cranberries. Yum! (Minus that dreaded banana) Thanks!

Did a little experiment last week. It needs “something”.

Two overripe banana, mashed smooth.
1 cup coconut creme (I used the stuff from the squeeze bottle, not the can)
1/4 cup dairy (milk or cream) or preferred dairy substitute
1 tsp vanilla

I only had 2% milk on hand and it turned out OK. I think it would be better with cream.

Hmmm… I’m allergic to coconut, so it’s harder to imagine the flavor profile, but I’m thinking coconut cream is not very sweet, and the bananas are not doing enough to sweeten the mix.
Maybe add another banana (and leave out the 2%), or some coconut sugar?

Top with a drizzle of Dark Rum

Sweet mix-ins. Agave syrup.
