I’m very glad for the explanation in the description, because looking at the pictures I was wondering if you could be thrown from the chair, you know, for the purpose of pranks and shenanigans. Or if powerlift meant it’s for very heavy people and thus lightweights may get thrown off, like a bucking bronco.
However, it looks like it’s actually useful ![]()
- Lift assistance with silent motor - The chair’s motor with FCC and UL certification makes for quiet, smooth operation and slow power movement, pushes the entire chair up from its base without adding stress to the back or knees, securely assists you from a sitting to standing position, which is an especially good option for seniors or people, who are recovering from surgery.
Where is the EJECT button?
Good price. I don’t see this brand on the mothership, so no ratings available.
I only see 1 better on the mothership for $370. This one has heat and massager. Seems worth it for $40 more. 4.5/5 stars.

I like the fabric over the faux leather.
I hadn’t considered if I might need something like this.
I don’t know about this one, but in my experience with lift chairs (I like to joyride in them at the shadybend rest home) they’re great if you need the lift but they take forever to get there. They’re pretty slow. Don’t wait until you have to go before hitting the button.
Fabric is going to be horrible if you eat and drink in the chair. The faux leather wipes down easily.
These chairs are wide, heavy 100#+, and cumbersome to handle. Something to consider, how will you get it in the house.

It comes in 2 50# boxes? They look like they could be slid into the house.
Won’t I stick to the sweaty plastic leather? And doesn’t PU “leather” flake?
Maybe I need a throw for the chair. Or puppy pads. Or something.
I would do a throw or twin blanket. Throw may not be long enough. If you have clothes on, you should not stick. I would not do fabric. Dirty, cooties too.
Hm…I wear shorts around the house.
But grimey fabric. Maybe a light twin blanket or something over fabric for breathability?
I grew up with a naugahide (sp?) couch and that thing was awful for sticking.
Here’s a pretty girl that knows her positions:
I have had a fabric power lift chair for several years and it has been great. I personally wouldn’t buy one with PU because yes, it would eventually flake, I find it gets hot the longer you sit on it, and I just don’t care for the look of it. I used mine post surgery with a cheap twin waterproof mattress pad thrown over the whole thing and it kept it clean. Puppy or Chux pads would work too.
You would still stick to puppy pads if you are wearing shorts. Post surgery, any oozing of wounds is going to be gross and breeding ground for bacteria. If you go with fabric, go dark, so at least dirty feet and grimey hands don’t show stains.
I have never found one to accommodate a tall person the one I had (was given for dad) as well as the ones at the facility I worked at were always made for little people like anyone over 6ft would not make it to old age we ended up selling ours for $50 which was a delivery fee because we took it 3 towns (27 miles) over to an old lady that fit in it perfectly. Now I wonder if he ever took the money
he was like that if he liked you or thought you might need it more he would just give it to you
My dad gifted a recliner with vibration to my mom one year. It was her chair in the living room and she loved it.
We always called it “The Electric Chair”.
