I’ve gone through 2 cases of the 2010 Electra half-bottles. Much like the Bon Affair spritzers that we saw recently, this is a wine that fills a unique niche. At only 4% abv, the winery itself will tell you that it’s halfway between wine and grape juice. They stop the fermentation process prematurely in order to keep the alcohol low.
These are great if you want something sweet while playing volleyball or engaging in other activities where a full powered wine might slow you down. I have taken them to our family reunion the past couple years and drunk them right from the bottle like a wine cooler. I have also made wine smoothies with them and gifted them to a number of people.
The first time I bought a Quady offer on wine.woot it included a full sized bottle of this, as well as one bottle each of Essencia, Elysium and Starboard. I’d love to see a similar offer in the near future.
4% ? is that even wine??
Got this last year…loved it. I’m thrilled to see it come up again. And, for some reason, those who collect empty wine bottles for crafts get very excited over the angel labels…just saying ![]()
LOL! I just ordered a mixed case from the winery and the cellar is more than full.
What to do??
Argh!!
Couldn’t keep this around in the little wine shop I used to work for. Extremely popular.
Awesome concept. Can’t wait to try it.
Labrat report. I tried this wine last night and its lives up to its name, it is sweet. That being said, it is not overbearing. This wine if definitely a desert wine and half bottles are excellent choice. I don’t think I could drink a whole bottle in a sitting.
It has a wonderful smell, almost floral. It is very fruity with slight after taste, not bad just hard to describe like graprefruit or other citrus. It tingles with a slight trace of bubbles, nothing like champagne however. I am not a sweet wine drinker but enjoyed this one as it reminds of the ice wines I have tried. Not quite as intense so much more drinkable. Thoroughly chilled it would make a refreshing drink in the summer, maybe even poured of some summer fruit. I would be tempted to use it in a sangria and will give it a try over the summer. The price is right on this deal and the half bottles are a great idea. Easy to store a few in the fridge for a nice after dinner treat. It seems an odd offering this time of year but I would definitely offer this to dinner guests around the holiday season.
can wine be shipped to PA?

Thanks for the notes, this sounds tasty. Maybe not the best choice for a sangria unless your planning on adding a bit more alcohol via some other spirits.
As far as this type of wine offered in December, I think it’s a dessert style. By my own admittance is it really ever not dessert season?
I know the local socal wooters who semi regularly eat desserts my wife makes would agree with this.
Welcome to Quady’s wine woot offer for a case of Electra 375ml! A great deal on our popular Moscato. We will be checking in periodically throughout the day to answer questions. Cheers!

Great to hear, we will look into offering additional packs again!
Great to have you guys back. It’s been way too long.
Last call.
Sold out at “bottom 44% of wine woots”, guess there wasn’t much to be had.
Looks to be about 50 cases.
