Good evening,
I am experiencing a bit of an odd situation and Woot is not responding other than I received a canned response that didn’t address what is going on. I ordered an item on the 19th, was asked if I wanted an alternative color to which I responded yes but cleary customer service didn’t read the message before refunding on the 23rd. Then, later on the 23rd they deducted again for the item and a customer service agent emailed saying shipping soon, I didn’t authorize the second payment, they simply processed it. Nothing ever arrived, but today I received a canned response saying my order was refunded 23rd and not shipping because it was refunded. They didn’t acknowledge they took the payment again and it deducted from my bank on that same day. So, as of right now, I am out $337.59 and they don’t respond to emails or seem to understand what they did. Any advice on how to get them to look at it and refund me? It seems whoever emailed back finally today didn’t understand or check Amazon Pay history to see someone deducted again.
Thanks so much.

I would continue to email them until the issue is resolved. Sometimes customer service has trouble understanding the situation. You could also enlist the help of one of the staff here such as @lioncow who might be able to expedite the process for you.

Real nice, pepper. You ask for help from notmatty with this and you stuck me with DaveJ, who had either just woke up from his nap or had started partying early.
I’m just teasing. I’m in no hurry; I know that my problem will be resolved one way or the other. In the meantime, I’m kinda getting used to stubbing my toes on my new living room, coffee table box.

I swear I saw notmatty online a minute ago. That’s why I tagged him.
DaveJ is really just the guy we stick out in the arena to distract until the rest of us can get to safety.

Thanks so much! It’s incredibly confusing at the moment. Woot definitely charged me twice for this bike but only refunded once. It’s showing twice as a charge on Amazon Pay and my credit card with one refund for the original order. It’s almost as though the refund canceled the charge but then they deducted again. And interestingly after the refund, at that time they charged me again and addressed the email to someone called Tim, not my name. So as it stands I’ve got two charges, one refund and one outstanding charge of $337.59 that Woot is currently saying they have no record of their side despite the transaction ID, emails and visibility. It’s incredibly frustrating. Thanks so much for escalating!

For context I just typed out the entire situation as it stands
06/19/2023 - Woot Order # xxxxxxx placed. $337.59 for an Echelon Bike
06/19/2023 - Amazon Pay transaction CHARGE $337.59 charged at 11:58:11 AM PDT
06/20/2023 - Woot email detailing inventory issues and would I still like the item but alternative color. I emailed back yes.
06/21/2023 - Woot email stating no inventory and they would refund.
06/23/2023 - Woot processed refund for $337.59 to Amazon Pay at 2:20:22 AM PDT
06/23/2023 - Amazon Pay transaction CHARGE $337.59 for WOOT 8:24:05 AM PDT
06/23/2023 - Woot email at 5:33pm EST time stating item is actually in stock and would ship soon. Email was oddly addressed to Tim, not my name.
07/02/2023 - Woot email stating item was refunded on 23rd and no bike is shipping. This is correct for the first charge, not the second charge that has not been refunded. No acknowledgement of the second charge existing.
07/03/2023 - Woot email stating they never charged me for the item, they claim they did not create that Amazon Pay on the 23rd that I was charged and to contact Amazon Pay directly. They also claim it was never a charge, just an authorization. Obviously this is wrong, it is on my credit card statement and Amazon Pay account as a charge.
07/04/2023 - Woot email stating to contact Amazon Pay about the transaction, again stating there was no charge on the 23rd, just an authorization.

Hi,
I am just about to email customer service because I received a refund email on the 5th of July but no refund ever showed on my transactions and my card company has not received a refund. So, I received a WOOT refund email (yay) but my Amazon Pay displays no refund transaction and my credit card did not receive a refund either? Super confusing and I am not sure who to contact?
Been talking to you on FB as well. I’m reaching out to CS.
