Reusable Face Mask with Breathing Valve (2-Pack)

Reusable Face Mask with Breathing Valve (2-Pack)

I see there are no reviews on these masks. Has anyone here purchased them? Quality?

FYI, masks with exhale vents are NOT effective at stopping the spread of airborne viruses from the wearer. The vents allow water droplets expelled when coughing to pass easily through the valve.

Woot needs to stop selling these!

Shame on you woot for selling masks that don’t provide the protection that’s needed right now. Exhalation valves should not be used as they dont protect those around you, which is the whole point.

But what if somebody is buying them for OTHER reasons?

Yes, like just to meet the requirements…

Agree. Given the current times, the responsible thing a seller should do is to include a disclaimer that masks with valves are 100% ineffective for stopping the spread of COVID-19.

If you’re working in a dusty environment by yourself, this would be fine however.

If the valve is designed correctly, then they can prevent the spread, the problem is that these are most likely not designed correctly for that.

I meant NOT revealed to COVID-19.

We’ve added non-medical to the title. That’s why these are in tools & garden.

If the manufacturer added a filter pocket, these would be a nice buy. Without it, one is simply filtering intake (mostly dust & particles) and exhaling EVERYTHING (including pesky droplets potentially harboring a virus) to EVERYONE ELSE. Poor form - even if sold under Tools & Garden.

Made in China…Lol

Best seller :woman_facepalming:t2: y’all are the reason why we have a covid problem

Oh yeah, woot is the problem.

“Y’all” as in “y’all who dont care about public safety and will wear this in public” in case that wasn’t painfully clear

At least those people are wearing a mask. You ain’t the one to judge others especially over a damn mask.

Come on now…all of the masks recommended for the non-medical people are “non-medical”…the point trying to be made here is that this specific mask is unlikely to even meet the current guidance due to the fact that the valve permits a less filtered egress path. I see people wearing this style of mask out and about all the time…they aren’t really helping things when they wear the valved masks that don’t have additional filtering.

Is Will selling these or Woot?

Great. A mask that doesn’t protect the wearer OR others.
Anything for a dollar…
We put it under lawn and garden so it’s okay!
You should be ashamed.

Sorry, Woot… given the current environment you should not be selling these now. Too many people will ignore or be ignorant of the vent’s releasing your germs to others and will buy these and think they are OK.
