Wootstalker your post just shows a woofer not a sound bar. Not very helpful :upside_down_face:

I got this when it was on last month. In general I’m happy with it (and even happier not having a huge receiver, wires, and speakers).

My only two issues are:

  1. My Logitech Harmony remote doesn’t have a listing for this, so I had to set up the butons one-by-one. (I’m sure there’s a similar model I could have found, but I was in a hurry)

  2. The first few seconds of any video don’t have audio. (I don’t know if this a function of the speaker bar, or my TV’s audio processing. Could be either since it’s a really cheap TV)

Does this come with a remote control?

I have this - purchased it at Walmart new when they temporarily had it listed for $50 - https://slickdeals.net/f/10166404-samsung-2-1-channel-220w-soundbar-system-with-5-5-wireless-subwoofer-hw-km39-za-50-walmart-b-m-ymmv.

It does come with a remote. Sound bar sounds great - much, much better than our LG HDTV’s sound.

My only complaint is that the bluetooth receiver is pretty weak. If I want to stream to it from my phone the phone needs to be within about 10 feet for the sound not to break up. Same thing with our family’s other cell phones. Not sure if our Echo Dot just transmits a stronger BT signal than our phones, but the soundbar is generally able to stream clean sound from it without problems and the Echo Dot is about 15-16 feet from the soundbar.

I’ve read elsewhere that if you don’t use the wireless subwoofer that the BT receiver works much better but haven’t tried that out. If you Google it you’ll see that some say that the wireless subwoofer signal disrupts the BT reception in some way.

All of this being said, it was absolutely worth the $50, and unless you’re planning to primarily use BT as your source connection, I think it is a great buy at today’s Woot price as well.

Will Samsung TV remote or cable company remote operate sound bar volume?

I bought a Vizio for Vizio TV and it has its own remote and TV remote won’t operate it ,
Hopefully Samsung smarter than Vizio

I have an old Samsung TV (model UN65H6350AF) that I would like a sound bar for.

should I get this one or hold out for something more hi-tech?

Any chance i’d be able to stream music to this and my QFX speakers at the same time?

If you buy 2 Google Chromecast Audios, you’d be able to stream to each device. You just hook up a Chromecast Audio to each device you want to stream to.

Soundbars in general are a conprimise. They sound much much better than a TV, but their form factor kind of limits them. It’s a tradeoff. If you want high end audio, get a home theater system. If you just want improved audio, and a space efficient design, get a soundbar.

They sound ok for music, and will blow you away I’d you’re used to listening to your TV speakers or small Bluetooth speakers.

thank you.

That’s not a bad idea, just not a desirable one as I already spend $50 on the wifi speakers
