I just confirmed with Samsung support that while this TV is “HDMI 2.0” it does not support 60 FPS over HDMI. This model only supports 30 FPS. It is also 60 HZ native refresh rate, not the 120 HZ rate posted on some spec sheets I found online.

Amazon Customer Reviews, 4/5 stars

I think I’ll wait until the OLED 4k tvs come down in price or there is actual 4k content. Whichever comes first.

your in for a long wait!

Gosh TVs are are cheap. Even 4K. We do live the golden age of television.

I hope the Wi Fi on their T.V 's works better than the
Wi Fi on their Blu Rays…

Does refurbished mean, these are the panels that people returned because they had a dead pixel?

I don’t know about the quality of the refurbished, but the brand new version of this TV is fantastic! I’ve had it for about a month now and I can honestly say it is the best looking TV I have ever seen. My favorite thing is 4K videos thru YouTube. Unfortunately about the only way to get 4K content. But even regular content looks amazing at the up-convert rates! Highly recommend!!!

The question, “what does it mean?” - Our new Samsung 55" was replaced within a week when I wasn’t able to get the wi-fi set up and, after when the problem couldn’t be solved in 5 minutes of trouble shooting with customer service, they sent me a new one. When the new one arrived and was replaced, we soon discovered the problem was not the TV. So, someone is getting a great deal on my 1st set because there wasn’t anything wrong with it.

nope… amazon prime has 4K content for a year now for no additional cost.
Netflix and M-go have contents before amazon started offering.

There is a separate app in samsung for another UHD streaming service called UltraFlix.

There is day and night difference between a normal HD and upconverted HD content on this TV. so you dont need UHD content to enjoy the visuals…

Wifi works with both 2.4Ghz as well as 5Ghz modems. absolutely no issues… Infact the streaming of video inputs from this TV works only via Wifi.

Yep, the hidden feature, is STREAMING. If someone like your family/roommate is watching different content on TV, you could use a LAptop to watch other TV-in/HDMI port content over Wifi. The TV does stream video on its own.

As for phones, all features work on samsung phones only.

How long? A year? I paid $800 for a 40" 1080P tv in 2010 and 4K is already less than $1000. Netflix has been streaming 4K content for over a year now so it’s already happening.

55" is really too small to enjoy the benefits of 4K resolution. Unless you’re sitting really close to the TV. This chart might help. If you are upgrading from a 47-55" old 1080P TV sure, should be a good buy. But bigger is better when it comes to 4K.

If you’re waiting for an affordable 60"+ OLED, you might be waiting awhile. I stream 4K video from Netflix and Amazon on my Vizio P series all the time, but that is about it right now. Until 4K bluray players come about and TV stations broadcast in 4K, it will be a few more years before 4K content goes mainstream.

Physical media is pretty much dead, for me at least. Cable cutting is becoming more and more popular so the fact that 4K is streaming on Netflix and Amazon is amazing and means that it’s already becoming mainstream. Cable companies can’t even make a decent cable box that doesn’t lag when you change a 480p channel so they are already behind what the internet can offer.

I’d rather wait for the OLED versions. Especially until hdmi 2.0 is working on Tvs like this one.
