Bought this a couple weeks ago when it was $160. Not sure why the big price jump. Not sure I would recommend it at my price, definitely wouldn’t recommend at over twice that.
The reason? The shifters. They are atrocious. Trigger shifters should be simple to use and precise.
But these? The rear skips gears and the front is incredibly difficult to shift up. You have to push the trigger very hard, all the way to its limit and hold it there as the derailleur struggles to move the chain over. Sometimes it won’t shift at all.
Oh, and the handle bars can’t be adjusted up. So prepare to be hunched over.
I needed a cheapish bike for quick rides with the kids to lake. If I needed it for anything serious I would have returned it. Definitely do not buy this for $400. There are better options for just a tad more.
I too got this a few weeks back for $159…could not be happier. Highly recommend this bike. Unlike the other review, mine shifts great into every gear with no issue. Disc brakes work great. And you can buy “spacers” for a few dollars on Amazon and this allows you to raise the handle bars a little bit if needed, but they are fine the way they are for me. Overall the bike works great, rides smooth, and I have had not real issues.
