Not too much interest here!

I recently had this wine and what struck me was that it seemed very well balanced. A lot of CA Zinfandel’s are overly fruity or very hot, but this didn’t seem either. There was good fruit, reminded me a bit of boysenberry jam, but not overwhelming. There were also some of the typical fig and plum notes. Alcohol was a little over %14 which is low by today’s CA Zinfandel standards, but I would have guessed even less. I enjoyed the wine as did my friends, and felt it would go very well with food in general. Worked really well with some lamb meatballs we had.

I got a bottle of this several days ago and agree with most of what the above reviewer said. This arrived late after noon in 98 degree heat. Let it sit for a couple of hours and placed in wine fridge for appropriate temp.

Upon opening it had a nice plum/ripe fruit bouq and med/bright color. The heat is there but not offensive at all. The overall balance of fruit, mild spice, subtle leather and med body was well thought out.

You (well…I) could tell instantly this is not a $10-$15 bottle of wine. And was pleased to see it today around the $20 mark.

This is actually on the top of my list of favorite Zins now. I was pleasantly surprised. You die hard red drinkers may have found a little gem here.

We had grilled steak fajitas with this and it held up well.

Loved it! Buying more.

Thank you very much for trying out our 2012 Zinfandel. After tasting through our Zin releases dating back to 2005, I can honestly say, this is truly one of our favorite vintages. It was a fantastic year for Zinfandel. If you love this wine, then you won’t want to miss out on our Rhone Blends and our Tractor Red - a favorite blend of Zin, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre. Salud! #TrattoreFarms.com

If you return to see this, I think a mixed pack of your wines would be received with more excitement. Buying 4 identical bottles blind at $20 per is a lot harder than buying a mixed 3 or 4 set.

Agreed!
