Why woot doesn't have a search feature?

I have this link bookmarked:

https://forums.woot.com/search?q=category%3A6%20%40wootbot%20order%3Alatest

If you go to the search bar and type a space then a search word, those items will come up. Just realize most will be sold out.

You’re also a unique and special customer, @bsmith1 - so much so, I asked the team how hard it would be to just create bsmith1.woot.com which just dumps a big old excel spreadsheet of deals with Buy Now buttons on it for ya to download and create crazy custom macros over.

Hey! For a while I WAS searching rowing machines. I finally found one I liked on the mothership. Would have rather purchased it from Woot however.

OMG - I bought one from the Mothership this week too. Which one did you buy?

I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017HSNIEW I really love it! I don’t need all the bells and whistles, it does it’s job well. What one did you get?

Doing Wooster’s work here.

This is Wooster’s work? Is it a paid job? I obviously should be getting paid if so!

My wife gets a reimbursement for fitness stuff through her work benefits, so I could go a little crazier. I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/Concept2-Model-Indoor-Rowing-Machine/dp/B00OUGNUO8

Now THAT sounds like a user-friendly interface.

Wow, yes, that is much nicer! I am surprised how well it works out even muscles I wouldn’t think it does.

I also have a treadmill desk that I love (as I sit here with the laptop on my lap with my butt on the couch) lol

wootstalker.com has a search feature that sifts through quite a bit of the stuff.

Thanks. Wootstalker found them.

I’m over it, though. Holiday shopping is already done!

Sorry. but this answer is bullshit. If it’s on the website, then it’s in a database SOMEWHERE, and that database is searchable. You have to keep track of inventory somehow to know when you’ve sold out of an item. Again, this requires some piece of software that is searchable. Not having a search button is just bad business, plain and simple, and no cute marketing spin answer is going to change that.

Anyone that takes 3 months to reply to an answer…
Needs no ‘search feature’.

Anyway, a search feature would literally take someone hours of work, probably typing fancy things like numbers and letters into a computer.

It’s fun to look for stuff and occasionally find it!

They “keep track” by being alerted when you order something, then they can’t find it, then they say it was “oversold”.

Then they’ll give you a coupon code which overwrites your coupon code from the last time they shorted you. Very simple really.
