No idea where to post this, so please feel free to direct me to a better forum if need be… but I’m at my wits end trying to get through to an actual human for some customer support questions;
TL;DR version is “How do I get in contact with an actual person so I can get a charge off of my credit card that has been sitting for a month for a product they over-sold and never reimbursed me for???”
For details - I ordered a deal on March 9th, and received no updates except that my shipping label was printed, and then weeks later I got another email stating the same thing.
I finally sent an email to Customer Support and received a canned, pre-written response that basically said they oversold the product and there was nothing they could do.
But woot still has my $800, and mentioned nothing about releasing the charge on my card.
Zero contact from them until I reached out this past Friday. I thought it was just bad customer service for ignoring that part so I replied directly to the email response, but obv received silence because I didn’t expect it to be a canned response.
I sent customer support another email with additional details (like how the item they oversold was magically in stock a week or two later, because I checked the price to make sure I got as-good a deal), and inquiring about my money that I’m now going to accrue credit card interest on because it’s been almost 30 days since they’ve had my payment… received the EXACT same canned email with zero details about anything I’m asking about, and they STILL have my $800 with no response or timeline of when I will get a refund.
At this point, I just want my money back. I am still livid and will definitely never shop with woot again after this. I was hoping to come to a better resolution and come to some sort of satisfactory answer here, but instead they’re just making me eat $800 and I can’t get any real response for my inquiries outside of a pre-generated “apology” email telling me to sign up for email alerts for future sales…
This is absolutely insane to me. I just want my money back if they can’t provide the product! I even tried to dispute the charge through my credit card and can’t yet because they’re treating it like it’s simply lost in transit and will show up eventually, but woot is telling me I’m never receiving it while keeping my money…
Anybody have any kind of help or insight here? I’m literally lost on what to do…
