2019-eara laptop that’s built like a tank (business use). I bet these can tell some stories.

It’s good for everything except gaming/video editing.

Too big of a price jump for sure, buy the cheap one for $200.00 and upgrade the ram to 32GB’s and the SSD to 1TB for less than $80.00. These laptops are REAL easy to open! Plus then you will have 16GB ram and 256BG SSD for other uses.

Don’t need 3200 as the CPU’s memory controller is only good for 2400, but slower rated memory isn’t much cheaper. $48 BIN for used off eBay is NOT worth it.

ETA: I will suggest waiting until the laptop arrives before upgrading, though. If the existing setup is two 8gb sticks, then both will need to be replaced to get to 32gb. If it’s a single 16gb stick, then just add a second one. Contrary to what some folks will say, mixing brands is fine so long as it’s all meets the same JEDEC specs.

(Note that I am not staff. I just volunteer to help out on the forums.)

Edit: Just noticed description says it only supports up to 32GB.

Not sure it can. Per the features:

  • 16GB or 32GB DDR4 RAM (supports up to 32GB)

Anything above 32GB is a waste with this 8th gen processor and integrated graphics. Even 32 is overkill just for browsing the internet as this no gaming laptop.

Multitasking, 32 and win10 is a MUST.

I assume these cannot be upgraded to windows 11 like the dell I’m on right now.

They absolutely can be upgraded to Windows 11. I got one of these for my daughter for college and it upgraded to 11. Pretty nice laptop and the $200 is a great price for a touch screen.

I’m still in “Preparing For Shipment”, ordered the mid version (cheapest already sold out) on the 15th, charged on the 16th. Called customer service yesterday - yes, I know, they were useless.

Anybody else still waiting for the mid configuration?
