Yeah, the bastich… Actually, design-wise, it’s much more pleasing to the eye (especially the negative-space mountain where the one road disappears off into).

Very nice! I love the shading and the concept! Personally, I think there are going to be a bunch of late entries for this exact reason- people are going all out.

I always try to use numbers from the Fibonacci sseries - I learned in an art class that since those numbers occur naturally, they are more appealing to the eye. SO I recommend 5 or 8 roads.

I was going originally fir 8, since it liked an octopus in the sketch. Just never finished it, maybe tonight as an alternative to what I submitted. I had a semi-resub idea I was considering, though JadenKale already submitted a real nice goldfish in a tank…

I’m going to scrap my snail idea. I’ve drawn a great snail (in a different, sketchier style) but I can’t draw fire at all. The title was going to be “House Warming Party.” You can probably figure out the idea from the title…

It would probably have been deemed off topic anyway, since only the title would relate it to theme. Maybe I’ll use the snail in a future derby or daily…

Well, there’s already a snail design, so I’m sure it would have been fine. Save it, since animals always come in handy. We just might have a “slow” derby someday, since we had “motion”.

I think the debacle with my username for the “roads leading home” entry killed it. Sigh.
