Kunde Family Estate Sonoma Valley Sangiovese - 3 Pack
Ya I just had their Cab last night with a big ol rib eye. mummmmmm, real nice wine
Glad you enjoyed our Cab!

Getting ready to deliver bulls to the beautiful northern California coast so I’ll be off line for a while. I have my cowgirl hat on today! Any questions before I head over the hill and lose my Internet connection.

Kunde is always on our list of wine tasting stops. Everything we have ever bought (probably 5 cases over time) has been a solid wine. In for one!

Thanks WineYum! Appreciate the compliment. Make sure you mention youre one of our Woot customers the next time you stop in and our tasting room staff will take good care of you

I love this winery. Last night I cracked a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc I got on a trip up there last summer, so how could I say no to this wine woot?

Gadge - you are making me blush!!!

I had a bottle of the 2007 Dunfillan Cuvee this week and I was mad I only got 3. In for one. I agree I need to add Kunde on my tasting list the next time in CA.

No more I said, no more but you had to go and offer Sangiovese so I just had to push the button. In for 2

Glad to hear the Dunfillan Cuvee is good, I’ll probably wish I bought more too!

How heavy is the oak on this? With the various bits of information I am actually confused. On the one hand there’s mention of oak spiciness while on the other it’s 20% new oak and has been in the bottle for a long time. Hard to gauge this one…little help?

Edit: the website also lists this as 14.9% alcohol while here it’s listed at 14.1%…which is correct?

I am weak. In this world of profit over everything, I must support wineries with a sustainability philosophy.

esteinwachs: good to see you here! We visited Kunde on the last rpm tour and were soooo pleased with the wines that we tasted. They also took us on a tour of their beautiful estate–way up to the “tasting room” on top of the world!

E.S.: check out the Buffalo/WNY Ice Wine tasting thread for January.

End Pseudo Thread Hijack!

Jumped in for two. Given that these can cellar for 5-7 yrs it will be nice to open them up in 5years and enjoy, knowing there is no more to be had. After of course trying one bottle now!

Thanks to kunde4thgen in convincing me to get some…

Back in from the coast. The correct alcohol percent is 14.1. Got that right off the label. Regarding the oak, it’s there as a nice accent but certainly doesn’t overwhelm the delicious fruit character. Aged for 18 months in oak cooperage. Hope that answers your question

Cesare is enjoying some wine in the hotel bar tonight!!
Glad Cesare was enjoying himself, but totally had me on edge all day.

would have been in for 3 but no Michigan-bummer

the Kunde website ships to MI why doesn’t Woot?

We opened up a bottle tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it!!
