THIS HAS BEEN UP FOR ALMOST 3 MINUTES NOW!!! WHYYY is no one on here talking about how sub-par this one is compared to another system and advising us all to go spend only $800.00 more to get the better one?
Where is the pessimistic negativity and snobbery I have come to associate with these audio sales???
Wooters…I am disappoint.
Pretty good reviews at bestbuy.com
Pretty nice paid $20 a few months ago on woot. They are crisp and sound great.
Went in for a set, girlfriend just moved into a new place and was looking for a speaker system. She’ll definitely like the bluetooth connectivity, she’s always just playing music off of her phone.
Can we assume that you really paid $200, not $20?
Quick Questions from a guy who has learned to ask questions:
Are the two speakers wireless as well as the subwoofer?
My computer is NOT Bluetooth equipped but I’ve seen things that use USB ports to connect to a device. So - is it possible for me to use this on a non-Bluetooth desktop? I’m very tired of tripping over wires.

Sorry no the speakers are wired. its the subwoofer that is wireless, but still needs to be plugged in (120v)for power. I own this exact system to which I paid 20 dollars more then the deal here.

try a usb “dongle” check compatibility with your computer manufacturer
Bought this set from Woot last month for 20 bucks more…
I am extremely impressed. I have really had a chance to give them a workout from a lot of different audio sources/settings. No complaints at all.
For me, the biggest selling point, and why I held out for so long, was easy integration into the tv/cable/universal remote. These do it, effortlessly. Once you have overall volume and sub volume set on these, you can handle everything from your universal remote. They power about <2 seconds after TV comes up, and I have verified that they shut down, go to stand by, after about 15 minutes of no signal.
If you in the market for sound between TV stock speakers, and the uber-fancy home theater setups, I don’t think you can do better than these at this price.
Thanks your comment was very helpful but how is the music quality from this setup or is it more for movie surround sound.

Hello fredricktaijeron; this is Onkyo USA and its Product Support department and we thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate your interest in our LS-3100 system and would like to sound in as well. As this is a 2.1 system and simulates a surround sound broadcast- IMHO this sounds awesome for both actually. More so for listening and watching music videos and music from my laptop (when the bass kicks in- it’s amazing how this little system is cranking out all that sound).
Good day my fellow Wooters- Onkyo USA and its Product Support department here to assist all our potential and current/ previous customers in providing more insight and assistance on the Envision Cinema LS-3100 system.
Thank you again to all our current Onkyo owners and new Onkyo owners. We want to inform you that we also have 24 hour Product Support to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have at (800) 229-1687, option # 3. We are also available via support forum (forums.onkyousa.com) and email (onkyoadmin@us.onkyo.com).

Shame Shame!! I actually have this one and I like it… I am Its currently in my home office and it’s GREAT! It’s like having iMAX in my office. I will buy one for my graduating favorite nephew- this is such a great deal. Negativity is not a great suit for one to wear.
Got this on the last Woot-around for it and am pretty pleased. Hard to see how you can beat it for the money. I actually think it is a little better with music than for the faux surround sound. Voices on some shows can be a just slightly muddy, depending on the show (True Detective? Oof dah). Sometimes I actually keep the TV speakers on very low to help clarify the spoken word. But overall an extremely good buy in my book.
I bought this Onkyo system a couple months ago from Woot for $200 and am generally happy with it. It’s fine for DVDs. With television, the sound was dropping out once every day or two and would need to change channels and then back to get the sound to return. That got tiresome after awhile. There was also a slight time delay when watching tv news. Fixed those problem by changing the audio setting on the Panasonic tv from “auto” to “PCM” (whatever that is). I use the vocal or dialogue sound setting when watching tv and movies with mostly dialogue and use normal mode when watching movies with sound effects and music. The bluetooth is great for streaming music from Pandora.
