Root System

Cool! I like the way the roots flow down the shirt.

I like the placement and the colors. Congratulations to the artist. Should be a nice spring/summer shirt. Tough this week when the derby will have some nice shirts as well.

Shirt.woot hasn’t come up with a shirt I want in over a week. Get it together people!

Then come over to the Derby and vote for the shirts you feel you’d buy then. It’s really as easy as that.

woot woot woot for this shirt, amirite? no, no im not.

This too reminds me of Watch It Grow, a shirt which I love, but I don’t feel the need to own two similar shirts. Also, the placement on this isn’t my favorite.

A great shirt for anyone with any inkling of an idea of what plants provide for humans. If you don’t like it, stop breathing!

True, Jaden, but my greater concern is that someone feels that viewing a desirable shirt each week is necessary…antifolk did not say that BUYING a shirt each week was part of the plan, but if so I hope there is a 12-Step program for this addiction.

I assumed by his comment that there wasn’t a shirt in over a week he wanted and that he will, at some point, intend to purchase should one come along that strikes his fancy.

12 - Step program? Sir, you assume I have a problem hugs her 18 shirts tightly

I can dig this!

I like the way it’s drawn but this shirt just isn’t different enough for me to want it.

Of course I’m here to buy shirts. It doesn’t seem to matter what I vote for in the derby, because its always outvoted by 300-400 votes anyway. The designs picked just aren’t really my thing. I’m not super into have designs in random places (though sometimes its cool) and a lot of the designs themselves are pretty tame or just abstract. Some of the designs are very creative, but the best ones don’t tend to be chosen. At least to me.

Just wanted to pass along my thanks to all that have bought this shirt or offered their words of support. Just a few thoughts to throw out there too:

This is a little design of mine that’s been scribbled over a bunch of high school and college notebooks for years. It’s nice to finally have it put to use.

I’m glad the sadness of the flower really came through, that was the intended look. It originally had a more perky, forget-me-not looking flower in there, but this struck me better for the effect and style I was going for. Especially with the bright colors contrasting the drab physical look of the flower. I hope others agree with my take.

Oh, and too girly??? Girls need shirts too; they can’t be all zombie pirates fighting robot dino-ninjas. And if you were secure enough, you’d wear it too

And as for this…

Yeah, I was expecting some of that. I actually signed the contract for this design on Dec 11th, well before ‘gent got struck by a similar muse. It’s just the nature of the derby entries that got it run first. I still think it’s different enough in style and concept to stand out, but I knew there’d be a large chunk of people who just plopped down $$ for his (since it’s soaked in utter awesomeness) and would feel a bit o’ design fatigue. Whaddaya gonna do though, right? Great minds think alike. Thanks again, and enjoy the shirt!

Man, I am getting so tired of the abstract, textless, obscure T-shirt designs.

Emphasis on textless. We here in the USA speak English. It’s safe to actually put words on shirts, you know? Hell, there’s not a single shirt in my closet that doesn’t have some words on it. That’s why I bought Plan B and that Sliced Bread one, they were total play-on-word displays.

Ditch these damn abstract designs and get something with SOMETHING TO SAY!
Well, I’m just the opposite: I hate text and love the abstract stuff. The only shirts in my closet that have text are for local orgs or businesses I support, or old junk I wear for painting. Words on shirts become redundant after you wear them once.

Anyway, your preference for text is just that: a preference.
Words, people. Words make people laugh, words make people think, words make a shirt interesting. Silly shapes and distorted figures do not…

Hell, this entire week of shirts has been a big parade of “MEH”. Junk I’d never want to wear. What the hell gives? Where are the cool submissions?
I couldn’t disagree more. I wouldn’t wear a shirt with text if it were given to me for free. I want my shirts to be interesting visually – I’ll leave making people laugh and think to my personality.

I don’t mean to look down on the text shirts, but you have to understand not everybody wants a catch-phrase emblazoned across their chest every day.

Though I haven’t been a big fan of the shirts recently isn’t that sort of the deal? I don’t come to woot expecting every day to wow me or my budget would be destroyed.

Yep, some people love text shirts, and some people prefer designs. Some people like bumper stickers with funny sayings plastered all over their cars, and some people like to only add details that accent their cars.

I am definitely the design type, but there are a few instances where I will wear text on a shirt.

I also prefer shirts with no text
