Okay - really thinking about getting an Android tablet to replace my slowly dying iPad2.
Why should / shouldn’t I go with the Samsung GT-N8013EAVXAR Galaxy Note 10.1" 32GB?

Those are the two big things that would steer me away from a Samsung unit. If you’re ok with both of those, I don’t see any reason to steer clear of a Samsung unit.
I bought one of the Asus Nexus ones from woot a week ago and it still hasn’t been shipped.
I got the 12" Samsung Galaxy Pro from the previous Woot. It’s fine, other than making a scary crack sound under pressure from an area that I haven’t found yet. The screen is fine.
It has a higher resolution than any monitor a I have! Even the 28" ones.
I want a cover that protects it better than the book cover, but the Otterbox case is $70+! …as in 20% of what I paid for it. Nope. I wouldn’t pay $50 for the one year warranty.
I de-Samsunged it as much as possible. I put on the Google Now launcher.
The power cable is a standard USB 3 on the tablet side (I think.) It’s regular USB male on the other side so you could use your favorite charger there. I like that it’s obvious which way the plug goes and it’s not that mini or micro USB where every cable you grab is the wrong size and upside down until flip it at least twice.
I’m having the same problem.
I bought the 12.2 Samsung and it is awesome. There always seems to be a complainer about a scratch, a connector cord, the way it comes with bloatware…blah, blah, blah. My tablet was in perfect shape, works flawlessly and I have NEVER had a problem with Woot, period. If you want an awesome tablet with a huge, bright display, fast, and about half price you’d pay elsewhere…buy it. Thanks woot!
I had the Samsung Galaxy Tab 5" that I bought here a couple years ago…liked it until it became “too small!”
Now have the 2014 Galaxy Note 10.1", which I love.
Just bought an
Asus, for a Christmas present…tried it out and Hate it, so am trying to return it (to a site which Now says it will take No returns on its ‘one-day sale’ items…won’t be shopping There anymore!)
I’m a Samsung fan!
^^X^^
can we use this as a phone?

They have now told me that “3-5 business days” for shipping means “7-10” and that my only recourse is to not accept shipment and pay 15% restock fee. If a business tells its customers it will do something and then can’t, don’t charge them for it.
Those of you that purchased the Asus Google last week…
We are aware of the problem shipping out some of these orders. We’re actively working to resolve it. Please bear with us.

Please cancel the orders and refund the money to those who are requesting it instead of giving us the runaround.
They did the fix a couple hours ago. Shouldn’t be long now.
What does factory reconditioned mean exactly again? Just that it was returned (now used), but is now certified to work as new?
I’m just scared that someone used it a bunch and that the life of the battery sucks. Let me know if anyone knows!

“Refurbished” covere everything from buyers’ remorse to returns and products whose defects have been repaired by the pros to damaged packaging and discontinued items. If you can accept their checked past, refurbs have a lot of love to give.
A “factory reconditioned” item was returned, inspected, and restored to fully working condition by the original manufacturer or a certified partner. And the original manufacturer stands behind it with a warranty. It’s as close to new as you can get without technically being “new”.
Here’s the official definition by a previous Woot staffer of the conditions and here’s an explanation of refurbished/recertified that may help.

I want my order canceled and my money back now. You are forcing me to wait for an unspecified amount of time to get a refund. When or if it eventually ships, it will take another 3+ weeks to get a refund from you. Apologies are not enough. How about instead you let those of us who have been waiting cancel as we want to and give us our money back. This is bordering on theft.

My thoughts exactly. I have had a easier time dealing with eBay sellers…
On the Keyboard case: not a bad deal. It’s listed for $49.95 on Amazon, with solid 4 star rating.
Does anyone know if the Asus Transformer T100TA sold here comes with Office installed? Reviews on other sites says it does. If so, what version?
