If I tape them to the side of my car, can I achieve warp speed?
i have one of these… paid almost $40 for it 2 years ago… still runs like a champ and can cool off the entire medium sized room/office - if i didn’t have one i would buy another. - really stable and quite… well made.
My wife is my biggest fan, so I really don’t another one let alone two.
Don’t fall for the description, these will not work in a yurt. They require an electrical source, and open air tents don’t tend to have household outlets.
I suppose they are 110 V. only, how many watts? (I live in Germany and use transformers).

These are great, sleek, move a good amount of air, and look great on your office desk. Just don’t be surprised that if you were hoping that it would hover if you faced the fan downwards because it doesn’t (I don’t know why they wouldn’t have added this feature). In for 3!(maybe if I have three it would work… hmmmm!)

If you’re “In for 3!”, does that mean you are buying 6 of these?..or do you just like saying “In for 3!” if you like the product?
Bought the V6 last time…they were weaker than a dog panting.
anyone know how big are these in size, airflow, and noise as compared to, say, the zippi’s that are on sale on sellout.woot?
finally! I’ve been looking for a desk fan for a long time now and here’s the perfect one, er two, for me. I bought the floor model vornado awhile back on sellout woot and couldn’t be happier with the quality, power, and noise. Well lack of noise anyway. Thanks Woot!!

It’s in the discription.
■Closed Height: 8.25”
■Open Height: 9.25”
■Weight: 4.2 lbs
■Power: Plugs into household outlet, no batteries needed
■Speeds: 2
here’s the manual for all flippi’s http://www.vornado.com/flashman/flippi-e/Default.html
I would get them if they were battery power optional. During hurricane season battery powered items are essential. I had a battery powered O2 Fan which was amazing the last few times we lost power, but it also had an a/c adapter so when i had power i could just plug it in if i ever needed it when i did have power.

that’s great for the size, but what about noise and air…???
[QUOTE=Sandy106, post:27, topic:282076]
buy 2 and do this

OK, that seals the deal. Was torn, but you have convinced me that I must possess a pair of these so I can do just that. Wow. That sounds sarcastic. It’s not. I’m getting a tingly feeling just thinking about it.
“To find something else this small that stirs up this much wind, you’d have to take an elf to a chili cook-off!”
Brilliant!
Perfect way to start the day…
Good. Hubby’s desk fan at his computer and the one on his painting desk are both dying, so these will make nice replacements. I’ll grab two (for a total of 4) and I can use one out in the garage while I’m at the workbench this summer. It won’t hurt to have a spare.
if these are like any other Vornado i have, they are a great fan. quiet and moving a lot of air.
Awesome! I bought a blue one (V6 apparently?) a while back for my mom. She teaches music lessons in a little studio room that gets really stuffy with all the kids coming and going and she said this fan works PERFECTLY to cool her little space off. I’ve been waiting since then to catch one of these on Woot and seem to miss them during every Woot Off, but now I’ve got two coming!
My yurt has 220A, 50Hz…will they work?

The fan selling in this sale is the V8. It is larger, in size and power. This is the first time that the V8 has sold on this site.

This needs a quality post.
So, when it says “no batteries needed” I assume that means ‘no batteries possible’. I live where these is only 220v, so this one is evidently out for me unless someone has good news to the contrary.
Just read kramerd’s post. Bummer for me.
