Time to just stop and ROCK OUT!
And customer service excused themselves with the refund. Big difference.
As someone who recently reached the end of his patience with #wootoops issues I want to say:
“I get it, I understand the frustration”
What’s all that other shit in the picture?
Seems that is the only difference.
Third party packaged up/mislabeled an item.
That mis-packaged item was sent out.
There is no more of said original item.
QED a refund was issued, and you are up a case and… maybe a power supply? Hard to tell with that picture. At worst you are set back to the moment before the transaction minus some time. At best you are set back to the moment before the transaction with an open box case.
It’s not even a Bart demanding his elephant situation anymore.
Woot sells things in limited quantities using third-party vendors. Sometimes those vendors make mistakes and send something incorrectly. Since they are limited-quantity items, there isn’t always additional stock to pull from when something like that happens. In that case, they either provide a partial or full refund, depending on what the customer decides.
Yes, Woot is owned by Amazon, but they operate separately. Expecting Woot to source replacements from outside their own supply chain is overreaching. If they did it in this instance, they would have to do it in every instance and that’s not sustainable.
I understand you are frustrated. Life is especially wonky right now and that can cause people’s nerves to get frayed. I get that. But kindly remember that life is weird for everyone right now. You’ve been given a full refund, which I think is reasonable. In the grand scheme of things, is it really worth it to make such a big deal over something that ultimately isn’t really that big of a deal?
People are out there literally fighting for their lives. My own brother probably has coronavirus but there aren’t enough tests and he doesn’t fall into the high risk category so he hasn’t been tested. He has the symptoms, though, and is pretty ill (not bad enough to go into the hospital but bad enough to make me worry a lot). It’s really helped put things into perspective for me.
Just food for thought.
It came with that power supply also?? Thats a Thermaltake SMART 600w, worth at least 50 bucks… plus your refund. If you were intrepid you can find that side panel and then sell the whole case and you’ll end up 75 dollars positive on the whole transaction.
Things happen occasionally. No idea why you would get so bent out of shape over something that was so minor.
If I pay for something, I expect to get it. That is simply how I am. Some people my be forgiving. I am not. I paid for an item that I did not get. I got an item that is incomplete and of no value to me. Yes, there was a refund issued. I didn’t want the refund. I still don’t want the refund. I wanted service that was not provided. Had there actually been service provided, someone would have made a phone call to try and rectify the situation.
I honestly feel like this only went this far because of the blast on Woot and their piss poor service. Quite simply if they can’t fill orders for whatever reason, be it a Woot issue or a 3rd party issue, they shouldn’t be operating. It will simply put them at risk of losing money in the long run. At this point on these 2 items they are out $180 on what they lost that I ordered and probably the $100 for the incomplete case I received. Probably pennies on the dollar to Woot but when mistakes start adding up, so do refunds, credits, and claims.
My hope is that someone who ordered this case gets what I ordered and they make way to the forums to find out we have each others items. As I said before, I will pay the postage to make it right. I bought an item for a good deal. However, I don’t that the other party will want a PC case with a missing piece of plexi glass.
If Woot can leverage Amazon for selling certain items, then they can leverage their stock to fix mistakes. They accept payment from Amazon accounts. They may not be one in the same, but there is good reason to believe that have the opportunity to fix problems.
Because Woot customer service sucks. Point blank. None of this was necessary if they were responsive and helpful. The ball was in their court as of 5PM yesterday to start finding a solution. Shipping items is literally A+B+C=D. They can’t fix what they don’t know is broken. I am not going to take it on the chin because I got the refund plus the power supply. I have a 750 watt power supply very similar literally sitting in my closet. It is of no value to me and neither is this one. I didnt want the refund. I would have been completely happy with shipping this back for the refund if they had actually tried. I don’t feel like that is what happened.
You must be a blast at parties.
Yeah, I get it. You have already decided only one thing is going to be acceptable and nothing else will change your mind. You didn’t even bother to spare a word for my brother (“sorry, that sucks, but back to my problem”) because you are so completely focused on this.
I’ve tried to offer some perspective but you are clearly not receptive. I will bow out and spend time on something worthwhile. Have a good day.
No, what you want is to ignore the reality of the situation.
The transaction went awry.
There is no more open boxed item so the transaction cannot be completed a second time.
You have your money back plus some case and, I guess, power supply.
End of story.
I get it, I understand.
