This past November (2024) I purchased three Xbox Game Pass Ultimate digital codes (3 month subscription per code). I have been trying to redeem the codes (Xbox console, and through my Microsoft account online) and I continuously get an error that these codes cannot be redeemed because they are the “wrong region” from my Microsoft/Xbox account. I have no idea why this would be the case since I’m in the United States, the Woot purchase was made in the United States, and my Microsoft/Xbox account has always been “United States”.
At the time of purchase, Woot had no instructions posted about choosing a region for the codes. Nor was there any place on Woot’s purchase page to choose a region. It was a straight-forward purchase.
I contacted Woot support and received a response that I should reply with screenshots of the steps I took in trying to redeem the digital codes and the error. As I’ve seen this all over this forum with so many people having the same error, I feel this step is overkill.
What other steps can I take in order to move my issue forward towards a resolution? or do you require the screen shots?
